The Varanasi court says that they will hear the Hindu side’s plea on the worship in the Gyanvapi mosque complex

The Varanasi district court rejected the petition of the Muslims in the Gyanvyapi Masjid case on Monday. Five women filed a petition seeking permission for the daily worship of Hindu deities, but the idols were placed on the outer wall of the Gyanvyapi mosque. The Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee has said that the Gyanvyapi mosque is a Waqf property and also questioned the maintainability of the plea.

But on Monday, the court rejected the petition of the Muslim side, and they sued the Hindu parties in court. The court posted the matter on September 2. Now the hearing will be based on the arguments on merit. Muslim petitioners are likely to approach the Allahabad high court in appeal.

The Lucknow police conducted a flag march in the city, the prohibitory orders were clamped and the security was tightened in Varanasi to maintain the law and order. About 250 policemen were deployed outside the Varanasi court complex, and a bomb disposal squad patrolled the area and monitored it with the help of a dog squad. Even outsiders are not allowed to stand around the court premises.

If we see the Hindu side, then they claimed that the Shivling was found during the video graphics survey of the Gyan Vapi mosque Shringar Gauri complex and it was contested by the Muslim side.
