The People’s Anti-Fascist Force (PAFF), an Indian affiliate of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has taken credit for the murder of Jammu and Kashmir DGP (Prisons Department) Hemant Kumar Lohia.
The 57-year-old Lohia was discovered dead on Monday, October 3, at his house outside of Jammu. According to the police, he had burn injuries all over his body, including a slit throat.
Yasir, Lohia’s domestic help, is believed to be the primary offender, according to the police. In search of the suspect, a manhunt has been started. According to police sources, CCTV footage found at the scene of the crime shows the suspect fleeing shortly after the murder.
The main developments in this case are as follows:
- The terrorist organization PAFF stated in a press release that “our special squad carried out an intelligence-based operation in Udaiwala, Jammu, eliminating DG of police, Prisons Department HK Lohia, a high-value target.”
- The PAFF has taken responsibility for all recent terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, including assaults on foreigners. The terror organization threatened to carry out additional high-profile operations and issued a warning that it could “strike anytime and anywhere with precision.”
- When referring to Amit Shah, who is on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, the PAFF said, “This is a small gift to their visiting Home Minister amid such a security grid.”
- Hemant Kumar Lohia, an IPS officer from the 1992 batch, was discovered dead with his throat cut at his home in the Jammu suburb of Udaiwala. In August, he was appointed as the DGP for prisons. His body also had burn wounds on it.
