Almost 22 people died of rain-related issues in UP. IMD predicts more downpours for Lucknow

The heavy rainfall, caused many walls to collapse and damaged several houses in some parts of UP. The IMD declared a warning of more rainfall in the state, and also issued an orange alert for Palghar and Thane. 

A very heavy rainfall wreaked havoc in UP. About 22 people lost their lives in separate rain-related incidents in the state. All this happened on Friday, on a single day, and these kinds of deaths are not common. There seems to be no relief for the people of UP because the weather agency has predicted more rainfall for the eastern part of the state on Saturday.

Let us tell you that about nine laborers were buried alive under debris when an under-construction wall in Lucknow collapsed on their huts. This incident was very miserable and the government has to take steps regarding this. 

Officials also told the news agency that 13 other deaths were reported from Unnao, Fatehpur, Prayagraj, Sitapur, Raebareli, and Jhansi. All nine of the deceased were from the Jhansi district. The District Magistrate, Suryapal Gangwar, said the injured persons had been admitted to the Civil Hospital.
